DAY ONE

DAY TWO

- Visit the Peace Memorial in Caen
- Lunch at the memorial
- Enjoy an excursion to the American Cemetery at St Laurent-sur-Mer, overlooking Omaha Beach
- Possible wreath-laying ceremony at the cemetery – subject to availability
- Free time to walk down Omaha beach
- Board your coach and return to Caen

DAY THREE

- Check out of your hotel
- Board coach and depart for Paris
- OPTION #1: On the way, stop in Giverny and visit the Fondation Claude Monet, home and beautiful gardens of Claude Monet – the Water Garden and the Clos Normand
- OPTION #2: Enjoy a cruise on the river Seine. Admire the beautiful banks of the Seine, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its picturesque bridges and beautiful monuments

- Enjoy a panoramic tour of Paris with a local guide. See such magnificent sights as Napoleon's Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, Concorde and the Champs Elysées

DAY FOUR
- Hotel brekafast
- OPTION #1: Visit the great palace of Versailles, the centre of political power in France under Louis XIV
- OPTION #2: Enjoy an unguided visit of the Louvre Museum, one of the most visited, oldest, largest, and most famous art galleries and museums in the world
- Lunch
- Enjoy the best view of Paris from the Montparnasse Tower, one of the tallest skyscraper in France. Enjoy a spectacular view of Paris from the panoramic observation deck
- If time, explore the Montmartre, perched high on a hill north of the city centre. By the end of the 19th century, the area was a mecca for artists, writers, poets and their disciples

DAY FIVE
- Hotel breakfast
- Check out of hotel and depart for train station
- Take the train to Avignon
- Transfer from Avignon train station to the city centre.
- Lunch
- Visit the Palais des Papes. One of the largest buildings of its time, the palace is a veritable fortress where nine popes ruled the Roman Catholic World from 1309 to 1403
- See the Pont St Bénézet, made famous by the song 'Sur le Pont d'Avignon'.
