Todd graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in History, and then later to the College of William and Mary where he earned an Executive Masters of Business Administration.
After graduation, Todd worked as Vice President of Stick Five-0, the public relations firm for former UVA basketball standout and professional basketball Hall of Fame member Ralph Sampson. He then worked at Lakeland Tours/Worldstrides for 24 years managing areas including marketing, account management, specials events, sales, and other leadership roles, and helped develop travel programs to locations throughout the world.
Todd then joined the Virginia Athletics Foundation, the fundraising arm for the University of Virginia Athletics Department as Chief Operating Officer. In his 11 years with the foundation, he worked closely with the Executive Director to create and implement strategies to achieve the Foundation’s short and long term goals, and managed functional areas including suite and event management, stewardship of donors, marketing and communications, budget development and implementation, gift processing/accounting, and worked directly with donors who supported UVA athletics.
Todd and his family love to travel and have taken many Grand Classroom trips including the Grand Canyon and Havasupai, Costa Rica, Smoky Mountains and Lake Powell. Todd and Cindy have two children, Grant and Madison, and two chocolate labs, Charlie and Bentley.
