Marissa came to Grand Classroom in 2023 after a 7-year career in outdoor retail management, with additional experience as a strategic business consultant and spending time as a mentor in an outdoor education program for at-risk youth. An Appalachian Trail thru-hiker (class of 2013), and self-made entomology enthusiast, Marissa continues to pursue her passion for learning via hands-on discovery, travel focused in natural landscapes, and maintaining an ever-curious mind. She has a BBA in Hospitality Management with a concentration in Travel and Tourism from the State University of New York (SUNY) Delhi.
