Team Work Gets It Done

Sue is a tree-hugger, ocean-lover, beach bum, bird nerd, forest friend, and a sailor. She has worked with teens in the great outdoors since 2003. “My life purpose is to open the eyes, mind, and heart of teens to the wonders of science and the environment, and help them become stewards of it - the National Parks provide the forum to do so.” Sue began as a guide with Grand Classroom in 2010 and groups just love her. She is requested back time and again and has now added account management to her repertoire. A former high school science teacher, her background is in marine biology, ecology, environmental science, and microbiology. Her passion is the ocean and she loves to teach students the human connection to it, and all of nature. She is an advocate for the environment, and an adventurer in it. When she is not planning student travel, or guiding trips, you will usually find Sue sailing, kayaking, hiking, and exploring the great outdoors, often with her binoculars and bird book, and before they were grown, her kids in tow. Or, you may find her in her lab at Mote Mammal & Sea Turtle hospital where she volunteers as a microbiologist. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida, and resides on the Gulf of Mexico in sunny Sarasota. Her children, Dustin, Emily, & Jaime are young adults, reside in Florida and also enjoy the outdoors. Sue is fun, has a great personality and a real ability to connect with students. Her attention to detail and ability to think outside the box only results in a wonderful travel experience with Sue at the helm. This email address is being protected from spambots.
